Bake-at-home bread kits • Small-batch coffee • Curated goods for the home
New York, I love you.
I mean it with my whole heart. You gave me everything: the energy, the ambition, those 6 am mornings when the whole city was already humming and everything felt possible. I built my life there. I became who I am there. I wouldn't trade a single frantic, beautiful minute of it.
But here's my secret: in the middle of all that rush, I always stole little moments for myself. I'd be racing past a bakery at dawn, and the smell of fresh bread would stop me cold; I'd stand there on the sidewalk, coffee in hand, and breathe it in. Mine. Nobody could rush me out of that minute. Or I'd duck into a corner shop, order a real coffee, not the chug-and-run kind, and watch the whole city blur past the window for five glorious minutes. Those stolen mornings were everything. They kept me human inside the beautiful chaos.
My favorite stolen moments came right after a run, before the city had woken up. The streets were still quiet, almost holding their breath, but the bakers were already up, pulling trays from the ovens, and the coffee shops were flipping their signs, that first pot brewing. I'd stand there with my heart still pounding, watching the day quietly get ready around me, and feel the whole thing waiting. Mine to conquer, but not yet. Just still.
And somewhere in those moments, a question started forming: what if life could feel like that more often? What if I could keep every flavor I loved, the chewy bagels, the black & white cookies, the crumb cake, and wrap them in that slow morning feeling instead of the sprint?
I followed that question out to Philadelphia, where the mornings are quieter, and the birdsong is louder than the traffic, and that's where Unhurried was born, my love letter back to the city that made me, written at a slower pace.
Here's what Unhurried brings to your kitchen:
The 212 Collection, the New York classics I grew up on, reimagined as bake-at-home kits for slow mornings: Street style bagels, black & white cookies, coffee shop crumb cake, midnight babka, and street pretzels. The city's flavors; the morning is yours.
Small-batch coffee, including our First Responder Coffee Collection, where 50% of profits from every bag sold goes directly to first responders. Because the people who run towards the rush deserve our thanks in every cup.
Curated goods for the home, beautiful, simple things that make the pause feel special.
You don't have to leave your life to find your morning. I never left mine. I just learned to notice the moments in between, and to linger in them a little longer. Now I'm bottling that feeling and sending it straight to your kitchen.
With love, and no rush at all - Sandra
